Traditional roast potatoes – air fried with a twist
Ingredients (to serve 4 as a side dish)
- 6 medium Maris Piper or Elland potatoes
- 1 tbsp Cajun or paprika seasoning
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tsps cooking oil
Garnish Options
- Freshly chopped parsley
- A squeeze of lemon juice
Instructions
- Chop each potato in half or thirds (peeling is optional).
- Boil or steam them for 5-10 minutes (or microwave for 2 mins).
- Preheat Air Fryer to 190°C. Mix the oil and seasonings together.
- Drain off all water and coat the potatoes in oil and seasonings.
- Air fry for 15 – 20 minutes, tossing occasionally. (Alternatively roast in a hot oven for 35 mins).
- Pierce with a fork to ensure cooking is complete, continue to cook if not soft in the centre.
- Garnish with parsley and lemon juice.
Tip – add a pinch of baking soda when you are boiling the potatoes for extra crispy roasties
